Eclipse or Alpine 6x9

i would say alpine to the eclipse. alpines sound clear and very crisp but usually dont have a lot of thump to them. but there is something that always sounds weird about the eclipse speakers

i like my eclipse speakers. i put 6x9's all around in my girls car and she loves them. i've heard the alpine 6.5's and they were alright. they distorted at fairly low volumes.

i have same alpine type-s sps-690a 6x9" speakers and they sound great. the mid's and high's are clean.

so if my type-s speakers sound great, the type-r speakers will sound even better.

i was just about to come on and ask how the sps-690a are. because i think im going to go with them instead. save me lil bit of money, becuase i plan on upgrading my HU aso.

so i think i will go with type-s, how much did you pay for yours?

i pay $80 for them new + $20 for 6x9 boxes.

these speakers sound clean. the bass on these hit pretty good but you need a good deck or a amp. i just got a pioneer deh-p860mp a week ago and this deck makes my 6x9" sound like 8" subs.

check into the pioneer rev series. also you might want to look at the JL TR series, they are suprisingly good. i put four of them on the tower of a boat once with 300 watts going to them.
