Pioneer, Concept, Fairenhiet all buy the TFT technology from panasonic for their TV screens, etc. Its just cheaper for compaines to purchase it from other companies then spend money on trying to develop it. Remember before alpines iva900 came out? They told me that they had yet to develop a 1/2 din dvd, so thats why they hadnt built an all in one like other companies did. But he also told me, that in the end, they would have saved money purchasing the blueprints from another company, rather than being a year and a half late coming out with it.
