Do you mean like the face plats that fold back and are completely black? I have never heard of that term but then again im still very new. I believe what you said about the eclipse not getting stolen because i talked to a salesman at kens car tunes and he said in 8 years he hasn't had one person report there stolen eclipse head unit. The reason being is because people in my town know about the head unit, and me being from ghetto okc never heard of it and people would jack anything there including a cd player with no face plate like you mentioned. I tried talking to my dad about that and he doesn't think i should get it but i have to think im going to college and if i get a detachable faceplate i have to risk my head unit not to get stolen from my locker or try to keep it in my backpack then risk me misplacing it or then again getting stolen. I think it just comes down to having my windows tented soon after getting the cd player then getting an alarm and not showing off my system in my area(even though its mainly older people) I just can't stop thinking how safe my car is going to be sitting at that college for 3 hours at night because i work a dayshift everyday 8-5. My dad was also telling me on most cars you can get a kit to completely remove your deck which i think would be best and just take my whole deck inside and not bother taking it to college i mean that would ensure it won't get stolen. Im really eager to hear about this false face front and will it work for my eclipse or just certain head units???thanks for the help everyone.
