Sure, the voltage is converted back to a usable 8-10 volts just prior to the amps (essentially the same voltage as running w/out the BLA), but by using the BLA, the balanced signal helps to ensure that extraneous noise is rejected -- over the course of the run of the cables -- and so when it gets to the back of the vehicle, it is far cleaner/quieter than it would otherwise be.</blockquote>
