Message: <blockquote data-quote="Justintoxicated" data-source="post: 2736119" data-attributes="member: 561240">The ported box I put my assassin in was not specificaly designed for the sub, however it was WAY louder probably 3 times as loud as the sub in a sealed downfire.  Box was likely tuned around 45-50 htz though with the assassin in it.  The single Assassin was louder than my friends 2 JL W6's at it's tuned frequency, it's no BS it made my ears feel weird after listening to it for extended periods of time.That said I still prefer it in a sealed box, the ported vibrated my truck like mad and I don't have a subsoice filter either so I decided to stop running it.  I play a wide variety of music and to me sealed handles this better and is more musical.  it also seems to hit lower than the ported box for obvious reasons.</blockquote>
