If i had 2 of these and wired them to 2 ohm, do you think they could handle an MTX 81000D at full power(1500W RMS@2ohm, 14.4V)? this is probably a stupid question, but i wanna be able to get the most out of these if i get them.

Being that MTX's are really underrated, you might want to go a size down on the amp. You won't gain much with those last 2-300 watts, and might hurt your speakers.

ok, so what if i went with the MTX 6500D? 500W RMS @ 2ohm, 12.5 V, and 775W RMS @ 2ohm, 14.4V. and considering it's underrated about %30, then it's more like 650W RMS @12.5V, and 1007.5W RMS @ 14.4V. would this work better?

Not to hijack this thread, but how do these subs compare to teh Adire Shiva's and Tempests?

i've heard that the shiva's are a little cleaner and the k's are a little louder.
