With that being said, my system in my car has been designed to the Excelon sound and I love that. Upgrading to the X990 would give me the enhancement qualities the X589 does not have, and a very simple switchout. The p880 would change the way my system sounds, and i'm not sure what that would sound like. The p880 is a beautiful deck with many tweeking abilities. I have nothing but good things to say about either one. I am looking for the best sound quality and thats a tough call here. Like I have stated in other post, the reason for all of this is to be able to take my X-589 and put it in my truck project I can get either deck for about the same price. The forums input on this will be very helpful in making the final decision. I am also interested in knowing why you would choose either deck. [QUOTE="MBrock4u, post: 2583175, member: 565492"] Well after careful though and research on both head units,I have got it down to 2. I am really wrestling with this decision and would like some input from the forum. Kenwood Excelon X990 or the Pioneer Premier P880. When making your opinion, I would like you to consider the following: Screen flash and dash, downloading images and what not, have no bearing on my selection whatsoever! Thanks!
