I am plan on glassing my doors in the next month in order to achieve exactly what I am looking for. I currently run a Memphis Belle (4x75W@4 ohm, 4x115W2ohm, 2x230W@4 ohm bridged) on a pair of Mpyre mids bridged with ID tweets run off HU, and 2 Sundown e8's off of 600w (which play 20-50hz). I love the sound, but I need more vocals. I will be selling my mids and buying all new. What I am thinking of doing is putting a dedicated woofer and midrange in each door. The problem is that I only have ~.5 cubes to work with before displacement, unless I really hack up the door. I know a lot of people run Selenium, but I have never heard them. I really like the LOOK of them, but in the end of things, that really doesn't matter, LOL. I like my music VERY loud, nice midbass, clarity is a HUGE concern. Now with that being said, I listen 98% of the time to rap. There are some off days where I throw in some rock or even reggae. I will be getting rid of the mpyres for the simple fact that I have used them and am looking at trying out something else! The biggest factor in all of this is cost. If even possible, I would like to keep it under $250 for all 4 speakers. I already have all the glassing material. Crude MS paint drawing of my door -
