In most cases the dimming is caused by power drain from the amps that is greater then the alternator can produce. However, like you said, if the alternator WAS powerful enough, then it would help on certain moments with exceptionally high drain, but then it would not be worth the buy in most circumstances.</p></blockquote><p></p>
