There are subs that no matter what you do with them, will sound like trash. Kickdrums sound like a wet sponge falling on the floor. Bass guitar sounds like mush and the 808 doesn't quite make it to 101. All this takes place under 100Hz.</p><p></p><p></p><p>So? This is common practice in most all industries. In the case of the big names though there is a big difference. The big names do the design work themselves and then contract out the manufacturing to another company that exists for just that reason. It's called specialization and economies of scale. Look it up. It is much more cost effective this way and the company can make a better profit while still putting out a good product at a price the consumer is willing to pay. A good product is a good product. If you care about who makes it then that's your problem. As long as it is made to specs with good quality control and reasonable tolerances then I care much more about the quality of the design.</p></blockquote><p></p>
