Dented side of sub

hey i just got my sub in and it arrived dented on one side due to shipping damage

the actual sub part is fine, just the metal outer ring aroung the sub is dented about 2 centimeters and the plastic around it is cracked, it looks to only be the part that fastens to the box, im wondering if this will affect performance and if it will still work?

as long as the metal still creates a seal between the box and enclosure.

you might be able to pry it back down. but you may be able to get your money back if it was insured. just make sure you keep all of the shipping materials, and get ahold of the sender (and make sure the box looks liek it was thrown out of an airplane - and take pictures of it all in detail too)
