Well, right now I have a JL Audio 12W7 that I got for an amazing price of $325. It is hooked up to a BEtter Audio 1600M1 that is giving it around 750W RMS to it in a 1.5ft^3 tuned to 32hz. I love the sub, however, I feel like I am not taking full advantage of it because of JL's stupid ohm configuration, and I do not want to sell my amp because it's probably the best bang for buck amp I got (500@4ohm, 1000@2ohm, 1600@1ohm for $325) So now I ask, should I sell the 12W7? I will probably sell it on a local classified section in my area so I won't need to deal with shipping it, and I'll probably be able to get more money for it that way. But I am debating, if I do sell it, what should I get? My last setup were a pair of e15K's in a HUGE ported box and they were a great set of subs for only $275 shipped, but I just didn't like having that huge box in the back. I was debating between two 12l5/l7's but I know that they require big ported boxes, but I know they straight up pound, but the SQ isn't that great from what people say. So to cut this short, let me know your thoughts about my situation, and here is an overview of the rest of my system. 1996 Chevy Blazer Pioneer DEH-P860MP US Acoustic USX2080 (~85-90Wx2@4ohm) Kicker Resolution 6 Components JL Audio 12W7 in 1.5ft^3 tuned to 32hz BEtter Audio 1600M1 (~750W @ 3ohm) P.S. In about another 6 months, I will probably be buying a new car, most likely a Mazda RX-8 and for those who know that car, it is almost impossible to get a aftermarket deck in there, however, I'll probably just transfer my speakers/subs/amps still. I don't want to have to take this into consideration when buying my new subs and stuff, but I might have to deciding if I'll keep it or sell everything before I buy the new car.
