What you are trying to do is remove any grease or other shit that wouldn't make for a good spot to stick the stuff.  I do prefer to apply it when it's warm outside though (unless you have a heat gun). I typically lay the sheets out in the sun to warm em' up. This makes them a little more plyable and with some brands, the heat will make the adhesive really stick.good luck</blockquote>
