Message: <blockquote data-quote="d77543020" data-source="post: 7442060" data-attributes="member: 565340"><p>I'm running a ap1800 on one 18 btl and I'm looking to upgrade the alt in my 94 suburban 5.7 engine and decided to go with dc power,I narrowed it down to getting there 180 amp hp model or there 280 amp pro series but when I started to look at the specs the pro series Alts on paper have better specs in every way compared the the hp,but the hp cost more and is currently out of stock so I'm guessing it's more popular am I'm missing something, has one one tried using either of these Alts,also before anyone ask I've done the big three and added a 2nd batt and still get voltage drops on certain songs down to 12.5,I'm aiming to stay at 14 no lower than 13 at idle</p></blockquote><p></p>
