If you really want to find out, go get a cvr, and a kicker amp, and test it agaist the type r and a alpine amp.You can tell through specs (to an extent) which sub will out perform another, it's a givin, just like how a 12" xxx will outperform an lighting audio 12", its'a givin. the xxx has a better quality build, handles more power, and has a larger magnet.</blockquote>
