Message: <blockquote data-quote="Jimi77" data-source="post: 8921757" data-attributes="member: 673702"><p>Unfortunately, the non-defense sector has learned from the military industrial complex.  I saw a podcast were they had a truck that the ABS died.  $2200 for the sensor, pigtail and some brackets.  Should be a $50, maybe $100 part.  Maybe $2-300 if they really want to stick it to us.  And that wasn't even dealer pricing.  I remember when I was in the Marines, we would go thru the microfiche parts lists for shits and giggles and see how much shit cost and everything was rip-off.  We had this "card puller" that was literally a ~2x3x.5 inch piece of plastic and some sheet metal, with a couple tabs.  Probably could have this thing custom made on a CNC machine $50, but they were charging $800 for it and that 90s dollars.</p></blockquote><p></p>
