Message: <blockquote data-quote="Old_Slapper" data-source="post: 8888095" data-attributes="member: 690458"><p>Last summer, I was in a County management meeting.  I brought this up.  They told me it didn't happen because of the environmental impact and costs.  I replied "then why not filter the water then pump it back into the ground and refill our underground water supplies."  It got really silent for bit and they responded with "Then that would contaminate the underground water."  Me, "Are you suggesting we can send people into space, but we cannot filter water better than dirt."  They told me it wasn't that easy, then changed the subject.</p></blockquote><p></p>
