It's a strawman. My opinion on the honesty of either party has nothing to do with WHO they pardoned, and why, which is the question he asked. I said I would provide mine if you held yourself to the standard you expect. If your standard is to just post fantasy, I can certainly do that. Here's a matching fantasy: I will require that Musk, Bezos, Gates, Buffet, Waltons, Adelsen, and a whole lot of names you don't even know, drastically reduce the income they get from their companies, and in turn distribute that income among their employees. The big-wigs can have a gross income of no more than $5 million per year, and amass a net worth of no more than $75 million. I will require US companies that offshore their manufacturing to "bring it home", and to sell their products for the same price they are now. If it hurts their bottom line, then all upper management takes a pay cut to make up the difference. If that puts them in the red, then they fire people and "become more efficient" like we want our government to, or they shut down and America lives without the product. I will combine the above tactics to ensure that every person in the US who is working at least full-time is making enough to live and maybe even prosper in the place that they live. If living wage in their region is $11 per hour, then they will make AT LEAST that much per hour. No full-time worker should have to take a second job to be able to survive. I will NOT bemoan a living wage while also complaining that goods are too expensive. Those are the goods that the worker is supposed to be buying, when they are not getting paid enough to buy them outright. If we REALLY do not believe it is possible for a company to pay their worker AT LEAST a living wage, then we are certainly NOT "taking care of America" and there ain't no way in hell we are going to bring manufacturing back here. No one would be able to afford it. As much as that is fantasy, it's far more realistic than you plan of telling the world WE are boss and that they will do whatever is required for US to be happy. So tell me: What part of your plan "took care of an American" directly?
