Considering there's a fraction of the capacity to refine domestic vs imported crude...drilling gets all the attention and at first glance we drill more than enough to meet our needs but take away or tighten the availability of imported oil and we can't refine enough domestic to meet our needs...so the whole net exporter thing may lead to slightly lower prices at the pump because of availability on the global market but it does next to nothing for energy independence or not relying wholeheartedly on nations that are unfriendly in the best of times...</p></blockquote><p></p>
