I am trying to tweak my system and need some input. My setup is: HU: Kenwood DNX890HD Fronts: Rainbow CS 265 Xplain Pro (component set) Rears: JB Coax Subs: IDQ 10 (2x) ESX Q 120.4 (for the fronts) ESX Q 175.2 (for the subs) I am looking for information on how what to set my front crossovers to. The specs on the Rainbow speaker indicate the following: General characteristics Type: component speakers; Size: 16 cm (6 in.); The number of bands: 2; Power: 80 W (nominal), 120 watts (maximum); Sensitivity: 90 dB; Frequency range: 45 - 23000 Hz; Impedance: 4 Ohm; Crossover External crossover: yes; Crossover frequency: 3200 Hz; The slope crossover: 12 dB/Oct; 1. Does the Crossover frequency 3200 Hz refer to the crossover for the twitter or for the midrange? And if so, does it mean that it is already set at that level (passively). 2. Since I have an amp, I want to be able to run the system as an active setup, and set the crossover points manually. What values should I set them to on my amp (the HPF on my amp range from 15Hz - 1.5KHz @ 12db/octave)? 3. Is it better to use the HU to set the crossover points? If so, how do I turn off the settings on the amp? Thanks, OY
