[QUOTE="bigbangtheory, post: 4039138, member: 563177"] Thing is it is a law that you didn't know about, but you should have. I see you are from Ohio, same as me. Matter of fact not but half hour from me if you are in Akron. He probably was pissed cause of traffic. You say you were not close, but to him it is obvious that it was. So yeah it sucks and he shouldn't have treated you that way, but if it was a statie, well 9/10 times those guys are dicks, especially in Ohio. Our highway patrol guys are motherfawkers mang, trust me. I know from expierence that you almost always will get a ticket and treated like a complete imbecile with those guys. Most locals or the sherriffs department will give you a warning......in some cases, it just depends what the situation is. If it was a statie, then you may be screwed, cause they show up most times in court. I mean you can try and explain your story to the judge, but good luck! And going and talking to his chief would be ok if it was a local cop, but Staties are another thing and have a feeling this is who you got pulled over by. Also the reason I quoted this particular post was due to the fact. Everyone at one time or another has had a clean record, lol! I know I did when I first started out driving eons ago. I had 10pts on my DL as you should know in the state of Ohio 12pts and you lose it for up to a year, most cases 6 months. Least that was what I was told a few years ago.
