I had a couple of questions and was hoping for some input. I am looking at getting a set of 10" subs that have a mixture of SQ and SPL. I am looking at the Alpine Type X 10 with 500-1000W range 1000W RMS 3000W Peak, Fi Audio SSD 800W RMS, or the Fi Audi BL 1000W RMS subs. Not sure which of those would be the better choice. Also was wonderig what is the difference between Flatwind Coil, Copper Coil, Bp Power, Universal, Hyperpole, and is cooling necessary?
I plan to put 6.5 Comp speakers in my door and replace the 5.25 comp speakers behind my seats, is it necessary to run an extra amp and use crossovers, or just run all 4 of them off of my HU? I am not planning on competeing or anything just want a good sounding system for my daily driver. The vehicle is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Ext Sport Pickup
Also was wondering how do you wire subs to be different ohms? and same for speakers?
