If anyone has a second, I have a couple of questions I could use a hand with. Right now, I am running an Alpine 9835, Alpine MRV-F407 pushing Rainbow SLC Kick component set, and a Kicker ZX300.1 pushing an Infinity Perfect 12 in a sealed enclosure. To be honest, I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but I was hoping to somehow get my steering wheel controls functional again, and I had originally thought I could pick up one of the PAC SWI Jack interfaces and I would be set. However, upon reading the compatibility a bit more, I realized that the 9835 is not listed as a compatible deck. Has anyone had any experience using this interface with this deck. If anyone knows whether or not this will work, please let me know. I am installing in a 06 Nissan Altima, and as far as grounding I am having trouble finding a decent spot to drill through in the trunk/backseat area where I can easily get to the underneath to clean it and apply primer for rust protection. There seems to be other paneling and stuff anywhere I am looking at near the edges of the vehicle. I drilled into the the panel under the back seat into the wheel well, but the metal seems pretty week and I am still having alternator noise. I picked up one of those JL lugs to use, but I am afraid this is worthless if I am not grounding it in a good location to begin with. If anyone with a similar vehicle and can recommend a good spot, that would be cool. I am getting ready to rerun my power wire from the battery back to the trunk as I am swapping out my 4 gauge with 1/0. Do you think it would be easier to just invest in another length of wire and run my ground directly off the battery rather than trying to diagnose it? Also, if it means anything, I had the Alpine amp running by itself at first and had no noise. It began after installing the Kicker. I have since then swapped out the kicker with two other amplifiers to ensure it wasn't the amp itself. I suppose I might have some wires to close or touching even but I also believe the location of the ground could be improved regardless. Thanks for your help.
