I know I'm a bit late to reply back to your post, but I figured I would anyways. Met up with Bob Doak (not sure if you know who that is or not) the other day and he helped me meter my car again. Turns out it peaks at 52hz... Not 43hz like what Jenissa told me at LST. So I ended up hitting 147.3db instead of 145 just by simply changing the frequency of the note. Also, the box design was done by Mark from Car Audio Fabrications. He did a great job and showed me multiple pictures of the box parameters built to the subwoofers I had. He tried multiple designs and this is what worked out best. It was meant to sound good on all types of music and not necessarily meant for the meter. I'm sure by finishing up the imperfections inside and out of the box and fixing the port (it can be reinforced and rounded out) I can get up 149db or so. Or at least close to that. I will try out your suggestion next time I visit my buddy with his TL. Sounds interesting; thanks.
