I dont know you but you seem like a douche. There is a difference between an actual definition and a slang definition. Where I am from we call the roads within a city a street, A highway is usually a country road with a 45-55mph speed limit and the interstate is just that. We also have a city highway we call the belt line. technically it is a highway buy most people will look at you weird if you say "highway 12/18" as in the Madison are we refer to it as the belt line So where he is from, he doesnt refer to it as a highway. Also DRL's use the headlight. Headlights are illuminated when the car is on or in drive. Only issue I could see is sometime the DRL's dont turn tail lights on. Was the OP wrong? Yes and no. He was driving his car in a "broken" state but is it worth parking your car instantly and calling for a ride/tow? Props to him for even noticing his headlight burned out as most people dont notice at all. That is until a cop pulls them over and tells them. Most police officers would either tell them to get it repaired and bring it in or let them know it needs to be done ASAP. Only time I have EVER seen a ticket for it was a friend that was pulled over multiple times for the same problem.
