Hello, I recently installed a 2 channel amp and 2 8" subs in my vehicle. It sounds good (I don't need a ton of bump and this gets pretty loud for me), but I would really like to be able to control the bass a bit better from the driver's seat. I can get it to sound good for any given piece of music bu varying the amp gain, but not for all the music I will listen to. Bass seems to dominate more or less depending on the source (e.g. CD or FM). Tone control on my head unit doesn't provide enough control on the subs (I added the new sub by tapping lines to the small sub already in my car and doing LOC, I wanted to keep the stock head)
Does anyone make an amp that meets the below requirements?
- has footprint around the size of a sheet of paper
- two channels
- puts out about 75-100 Watts per channel RMS (my current amp is an older Kenwood that puts out 70 Watts RMS to each sub). That's at 4 ohms for each sub.
- has bass control so I can vary the level (required) and LPF cutoff (preferred by maybe not overly critical) from the front of the car while driving; like a mini equalizer.
Anything out there that meets this for around $250-300 (I don't need anything else except the amp)?
