They're both going to accomplish the same thing, but it will sound different. When you set the HPF it doesn't cut off bass right at the frequency. That's the frequency at which the bass is already getting reduced. 45 Hz is low enough that you're essentially letting everything pass through anyway. If the 6x9s can handle it then go for it, but you'll increase power handling by setting the HPF higher.</p></blockquote><p></p>
