Disconnect that, and find the green wire, which should be the fourth down on one side. Turn the main power switch on on the power supply, then use a paperclip to short the pin on the green signal wire to one of the black wires next to it. If the power supply fans come on, the problem is the main board or processor. If it does nothing, the power supply is the fault.</p><p></p><p>Make sure you get the right wire, there should be only one green one, and all of the black wires are the same, so any one of them will work.</p><p></p><p>If the motherboard is the problem and you replace the PC, you can install your old hard drive in the new computer and access your files.</p></blockquote><p></p>
