I hate to triple post, but... If there is no "easy" way to get the PG RSDs in my car, are there any other low priced speakers that come close in quality? Some that I know will fit my car: Alpine http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19298 Infinity http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=18372 I'm leaning toward the Alpines because they are so much cheaper... but I'd still love to have those RSDs... if only I could make them fit. EDIT: I just took off my driver side door panel to see if there was anything I could do to improve the clearance for the RSDs and it seems like there is plenty of room at the top of the speaker but because of the angle its much tighter at the bottom. There is about an inch of space between the surface of the stock speaker and the inside of the stock grille. Luckily, the grilles are separate pieces and I think with a little work I could modify them if necessary. One thing I'm curious about is the amount of space I should leave for the woofer on an RSD to move. I know it won't move as much as a sub, but how much would you say is safe when I'm dealing with such tight quarters? I'm thinking I might have about a half inch from the driver to the grille.
