Message: <blockquote data-quote="doox00" data-source="post: 5849751" data-attributes="member: 608758"><p>figured it out, I knew something was not right.  First I pulled the sub out, did an ohm test and was sitting at 1.6-1.7 ohms (assuming I did it right.. held one side of my tester to + and the other to -  It jumped around alot then finally settled at 1.6-1.7 range (should be 2 ohm though I thought).  I put the sub back in the box.. and decided to check the rcas.. there was the problem, only one side was getting signal.. must be a break in the rca somewhere.. so for the time being I just put a Y on the one side that works and bingo.. huge difference in bass, was able to turn the gain down to about half or less and got alot more bass overal.</p></blockquote><p></p>
