I have not had the pleasure of dealing with pyramid and I wouldnt like to neither. I have heard enough about there stuff etc. But to find a setup for 200 shipped for 2 12's and a amp and have it sound good does not leave much options. And over all when you look into the whole picture you will understand that 2 kicker comp vrs' will run him around 200 shipped to alittle more than that. Not to mention a amp to push them because they do need around 400 to get them going very nice while on the other had powerbase subs he is looking at will get loud and sound good on 200 watts. So there for he will be saving alot of money going this route. As he wants to do 2 12's.
Well just for your info the 2 powerbase subs he is talking about will out do the kicker comp vrs and will save him about $100 doing it and also save him money on a small amp as well. If you have never heard them dont knock them. Because I ran 2 of these I also ran 2 of the kickers and a ton of other stuff and he is looking to do a setup for $200. for 2 12's and a amp. With shipping included. So if you knew more information about this I would understand were you are coming from but at this point your post is worthless. The powerbase subs a actualy a pretty good sub at a very good cost. That will keep up with and out do the kicker comp vrs and the alpine type r's depending on the enclosure and amp, wire etc. I know this because I have ran so many diffrent things.
