Maybe I shouldn't have used the term "strictly rated power supply" when I tried talking some sense into the dumbass kid. I meant that J Hell Audio designed that amp to deliver at least rated power into impedance loads between 1.5 and 4 ohms. The fact that he thought he was getting 1100 watts of clean RMS power at 2 ohms from a 500/1 was a pipe dream at best. Regardless, I can't believe someone would believe a fuggin car audio sales associate that pushes JL Audio over anything else they sell due to JL's profit margins. These are the same idiots that tell the local ricers they don't have to upgrade their electrical systems if they just add a 5 farad capacitor to their setup. I got a call from one ricer a few months back trying to run 2,500 watts RMS off of his Civic's stock electrical with a 5 farad cap. He wanted to know why he kept going through alternators. Yep, the moron went through THREE alternators in a 6 month period because he believed his 5 farad cap would help.
