You can keep the spider from coming loose from the basket with a bunch of epoxy -- I had to use a screwdriver and a hammer to get mine apart since I added all that epoxy.I'll throw up some pics of the finished product. My RE re-cones did not quite fit on the original basket, the original has a lip around the outside to center the spider ring -- the RE spider would sit on the lip and not the landing. So I'm using a 12-spoke. Coil alignment looks accurate enough vertically... gap is pretty tight between the pole and coil, only 6 thin sheets of paper (RE XXX was 12 sheets for reference). I need to order some terminals before I can finish... I forgot that I didn't have any spares that were the solder-to type.</blockquote>
