You can find more information on it at fairtax.org. The major drawback to a national sales tax is the they run in tandem with the business cycle. In good times, the coffers are filled, during recession, they are dry as a bone.But the major help is that each person chooses how much tax they pay because they are prebated the tax to cover necessities. Everything is taxed at 23%. There would be no corporate tax so price would fall about the same amount as tax would increase. I love studying methods and politcs behind taxation. But it is something you may want to consider.</blockquote>
