Almost no one actually clamps their power accurately [with the right meters, method, etc] let alone even tries to clamp their power. Most of them go by what their amp is "rated" at and then they end up clipping the bejesus out of them [which is another form of extreme heat / power] and it ends up cooking the woofer in the end.
