Message: <blockquote data-quote="mikey7182" data-source="post: 3382397" data-attributes="member: 580809"><p>I think the 9887 (just got mine from UPS) is just new and is taking time to gain popularity.  Honestly I think it is the new 9835 with (at least better) iPod control.  I had the 9835 and loved it.  The 9887 seems to do everything it did, plus with Imprint rolling out soon, it should be even sweeter.  I think Alpine just had a two year span there where they really didn't put out any sweet HU.  During this time, I switched over to Pioneer Premier and had the 980BT and the 880PRS, both of which were sweet, but I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Alpine, so when I saw the 9887 coming out, I sold the 880 and bought the 9887.  I think you'll find after a few months that the 9887 is going to be the new 9835 in terms of popularity.  Already I see more and more sigs that include it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
