Alpine CDA-117 Pioneer MVH-8200BT Well I was planning on getting the CDA-117 until I saw that Pioneer just came out with the MVH-8200BT. Here's my thoughts so far. The Alpine has the 24-bit Burr-Brown DAC which is known to sound amazing. The Alpine has time correction... does the pioneer? I can't tell if thats what they mean by "Sonic Control Center".. I'm paranoid about thieves and the Alpine has the detachable faceplate.. the pioneer basically doesnt lol. I'm hardcore about tweaking with the EQ and currently I have my 12.5 khz band at +12 db... with addition to my "Loud" on high so we are looking at +22db just for my treble, well the Alpine can only go up to +6 db, so it might sound dull to me, can anyone confirm this? I can't remember the last time I've listened to a cd, but the pioneer doesnt have a cd player. As far as cosmetics go, I'd be content with both. I have the Pioneer DEH-P6000UB now, and I have high expectations for Alpine as far as sound quality goes, but with the EQ, I'm afraid its going to sound flat. Lol, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Burr-Brown processor only used for CDs?
