But that was the first time I intentionally tried to blow the sub. Granted all the other amps gains were set with my Ds nano and I do know where my Hu clips and never exceed those limits. And I do understand that subs will take way more power when its clean power. I guess I just struck me as odd based on my experiences  after box rise the power does not seem like it would be enough to hurt anything ? and again I am not a professional installer as many of you are and dont see this kind of stuff as often as you probably do.</blockquote>
