Car Completely Dead after BIG 3..help

Like eCrack said, take your DMM, set it check resistance (this is the setting with the OHM on it, if you touch the DMM leads together on this setting it should read 0), then put one lead on each of your battery terminals. Right now it's probably going to read 0, this is very bad. That means there is a direct short from positive to ground. You need to check over every inch of your big 3 wiring, starting with where you said the alternator wire was touching the chassis. Check everything and <em>do not apply power until your DMM stops reading 0 ohms between the terminals.</em></p></blockquote><p></p>
