Message: <blockquote data-quote="xin" data-source="post: 106282" data-attributes="member: 543606"><p>Exactly.  Before my high output alternator I had a stock 65 amp unit and I was running the JBL BP1200.1 and I thought a cap would help so I installed one and only made my charging system worse because not only it needed to supply power to the amps but now the cap too.  After the H.O alternator the cap helped significantly.  I don't think you need a cap for that JL 500.1</p></blockquote><p></p>
