The voltage regulator is supposed to make sure the voltage is correct, but we all know that not everyone will buy a regulator that's capable and reliable. For those who swapped an alternator and left it at that, using a smaller pulley is the easiest and least expensive way, if you don't count the cost of buying or driving around to borrow a pulley puller.</blockquote>
