I have a 1.5 farad capacitor ready to install in my car. I know how to charge it first with a resistor. And I know that the positive from battery goes from the battery>Cap +>amplifier +. MY question is, all the diagrams i have seen show the capacitor being grounded in a different place than the amplifier. Is this essential or does it matter where i ground it as long as it is a good connection to bare metal? [i only have 1 good bolt to ground to in the trunk of my car]. I already have the capacitor [free] so i am set on using it and not wanting to upgrade to another battery. Mostly i am using the capacitor as a voltmeter. so please no flaming about just adding another battery. Thanks in advance
