Ford ZX2. The bastard child of Ford car's. No longer bears the Escort namepate. I was suprised when I first got it, but it's pretty **** quick. 2.0L engine, nice little spoiler and I'm pretty sure it could beat a Focus. The 5 speed version kills almost any other 4 cyl. car out there.

And about the C/F hoods, they are stupid if they are used for looks, but if you are actually building a car to race, any weight reduction will count.

The manual version!! Why they didn't go with the ZX3 Hatchback I will never know. BTW it's not a 2.3l but a 2.0l.

I'd rather ride a pink girls bike then drive a Kia. They are the biggest piece of automotive **** out there. And a Lancer OZ starts at $14,700. Thats base.

Hmmmm yes, Kias remind me of....well, actually they are so cheap and terrible, they don't remind me of anything.

Also, I'm pretty sure the ZX2 is lighter and cheaper than a Focus, so it is quicker, I know this for a fact. A lack of aftermarket makes them not the prime choice for sport compact tuners though. The auto tranny is weak, but the manuals are pretty good. And they ZX2 doesn't have, what is it, 10??, recalls on it. It's a little more reliable than a Focus, and god knows (this will be my opinion) it looks a helluva lot better than a Focus. And no matter which car you get, get a stick. It is stupid to get a auto unless that is the only choice availible.
