You can use a 2 channel amp and use it in a mono configuration or a 4 channel amp bridged to 2 channels (each powering a sub). You just have to be sure that the amp is stable at the load it will be given to drive.That Pioneer will be fine so long as you can wire the subs to present a 4 ohm load.
