[QUOTE="01rednavigator, post: 8254446, member: 644400"] I am currently running the following in my 2001 navigator. 4 Pioneer TS-D6802R 6x8 speakers in the doors. Peak: 520 watts per pair / 260 watts each RMS: 120 watts per pair / 60 watts each I am powering them with a Rockford Fosgate Power T400-4 4-Channel Amplifier. 4 ohms: 60 watts x 4 chan. 2 ohms: 100 watts x 4 chan. Bridged, 4 ohms: 200 watts x 2 chan. So am running 240 watts of power with my current speakers. I used a good quality 4 gauge amp kit to install the amp (NVX) I want to add a sub and amp to my system, the following is what I have decided on. Rockford Fosgate R500X1D 500W RMS Monoblock Single Channel Class D Prime Series Amplifier RMS Power Rating: 4 ohms: 300 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan. JL Audio CP112-W0v3 Single 12" 12W0v3-4 Loaded Ported Enclosure. •Power Handling: ◦Peak: 600 watts ◦RMS: 300 watts So I would be running 300 watts with this sub and amp, I would be running 540 watts total with my speaker amp and with this sub amp. I was going to get more 4 gauge wire and power and ground blocks to run off my current 4 gauge wire. Will 4 gauge be ok to run with this setup? or do I need to run 1/0 power and ground to the power block/ground block and 4 gauge to amps? With my current 4 gauge power wire I had to run approx. 18-20 feet of power wire to the amp, I had to use this much cause my Navigator is so long. So will I be good with 4 gauge with this setup?
