[QUOTE="iankrajacic, post: 6908253, member: 624310"] Ok, so here's the story, I have : 4x 6" alpine type R speakers, some cheapo sub and amp and a sony LCD headunit I have ensured its all wired properly, all wires connecting to the headunit and soldered and heatshrinked. All speakers are connected to a 4 channel amp and have individual RCA's. Problem is that when all 4 speakers are pluged in, the speakers emit a buzzing sound intune with the alternator, when i unplug the back and just leave the front pluged in = no buzzing, and same if i unplug the fronts and leave the back pluged in... I have bought a cap to put on the alternator but that has made a differance.. My friend from work thinks it might be the ground connected to the headunit and he thinks maybe i should connect it straight to the battery, and other people think that i should just get a bigger cap to put on the alternator. the grounds on both of my amps are strong and well. I am kinda leaning towards the ground on the headunit... maybe go down to jaycar and get a longer wire and connect it straight to the - on the battery? Please give me some input, thanks heaps Ian.
