[QUOTE="C.Jackson, post: 2000222, member: 566321"] I'm about to start working on my MR2 and I want a decent *cheap* subwoofer. I've been thru a few systems myself. *Fades to the past* 2 12" Memphis References in a sealed enclosure, a few Eclipse subwoofers from their bodget line, and a few Lightning Audio things *Fades back to present* Right now I have a cheap Lightning Audio 10" subwoofer in a ported enclosure (Yeah I know it sucks), to be perfectly honest it doesn't sound that bad and it sure surprised me for 30 bucks. First off, before anyone suggests anything you should all know that this is an 87' MR2. I have next to no room for a subwoofer anywhere. Alot of people suggest putting subwoofers in the frunk (Front trunk) and porting it into the cab thru the *I guess* firewall. I don't want to end up messing my car up installing a sound system, so I scrapped that idea. I've been thinking about taking the passenger seat out and sticking an enclosure there, or maybe even leaving the seat and putting one in the seat. Right now the enclosure for the Lightning Audio is in the seat, whenever someone wants to ride with me I pull it out and stick it in the house. I already have an amp, but it's only 200 watts RMS bridged at 4 ohm so I'm not sure if the subwoofer would be too happy running at only half of it's RMS. Eventually I plan on upgrading, but I don't have the cash for that right now. I have about $230 to blow on a subwoofer hence my choice in subwoofer. What would you suggest that would be alright daily at 200W for under $200? Keep in mind here, I like my SPL, SQ just isn't for me. I know saying this is kind of an oxymoron since I only have 200W, but I have 3 of these amps. Ones on highs now and I have one on the LA and it's only using one channel (Getting around 70W and you wouldn't believe it) and one is collecting dust. But I doubt someone can suggest a sub that is cost efficient enough for me to afford 2. Yeah, I like to type.
