[QUOTE="graffix989, post: 583725, member: 557480"] ok ive got a 1600wt amp, aka 400x4 pushing two 15 subs @ 1200wt each. ok so i tried bridging each channel to make it a 2channel amp.. as in, i bridged the front outputs to my left sub an the rear to my right sub.. this didnt increase the noise at all, it acualy decreased it. and yes both subs are 4ohm along with the bridged connections on the amp. i doupt thats the problem. the only thing i could think of was the inputs for the amp.. ive only got a single set of rca cables running from my head deck to the amp. so to bridge the 4ch to 2ch i had to use the left in the front and right in rear. so ive got only 1 input (eithor R/L) on each of the front/rear inputs... when i hooked both of em up simultaniusly to eithor the front or the rear inputs, it seemed to get louder.. does this matter?? or am i focusing on the wrong thing. i assumed when u bridged a connection it became mono, lol but its already only a single L or R channel comming in (the way i hooked it up) should i run another set of rca cables so i can have all 4 inputs occupied? another thing is i dunno if i hooked the bridge up right in the first place... this is my setup. inputs: right chan. to rear/right input left chan. to front/left input outputs: sub1/pos - front/left/pos sub1/neg - front/right/neg sub1/pos - Rear/right/pos sub1/neg - Rear/left/neg additional note: im an electrical manufacturing engineer for agilent tech. so you dont have to dumb stuff down for me....
