I have an '07 boat with a factory installed JBL head unit, wired display remote, and a wired puck style remote. I'm looking to upgrade to something with Bluetooth, Pandora, USB, etc. but I'd really like to have remotes in the existing locations. Marine grade isn't necessary at all (it's protected in a cabin). The JBL uses (I believe) a 13 pin DIN cable for the remotes. It would be extremely difficult to re-wire for a different brand of remotes... Are there any brands of head units that offer wired remotes and use a DIN cable to connect them? I've seen 13 to 8 pin adapters that may/may not work, but it could open the door for 8 pin head units as well. I'm just hoping to get an updated head unit, replace the remotes as needed, but definitely keep the existing DIN cable. Thanks!
