Hi guys, First time posting here so forgive me if I don't have the correct section. I have an older Alpine unit - iDA X100 - currently installed in my car. My classic iPod is connected to the unit using a special high-speed cable (KCE-422i). It's been working for years with no problems. I would like to move onto Bluetooth, which this head unit supports, so I can wirelessly connect my iPhone to it. I believe the cable I need for this head unit is KCE-236B. I have a few questions for anyone who has the same setup. 1) I presume I lose the iPod functionality with the use of the bluetooth adapter, since the KCE-236B Bluetooth cable replaces the KCE-422i 'iPod' high-speed cable, unless I plug the iPod into the USB connector of the Alpine instead? 2) I can see the KCE-236B adapter has a blue plug, which I know plugs into the back of the head unit, and two 'loose' cables - black/red. Where do these black/red cables connect to? 3) Has anyone installed said KCE-236B cable with the above Alpine unit and have you had any problems? Thanks everyone in advance!
